Support of the window and plugged in earphone

You had a long exhausting day at the office. You had a fight with a colleague. You did something which you shouldn’t have. You have a pile load of work to complete and the deadline is approaching. Your head is bursting with a shit load of thoughts and you feel like escaping this world.

More often than not, we all find ourselves in this type of situations. The problems may not be the same, but we all are caught in this vicious circle some day or the other. What should you do? I don’t know about you but I have found out my niche. It may not be THE 100% solution, but I find solace in it. It may not work for you, but I do find it amazing.

My commute takes around 20–30 minutes one way, I utilize this time to pump up my thoughts and mood. Instead of watching movies or chatting with someone(it is different my internet always let me down during my route), I prefer to plug in my earphone and listen to some soft music, some instrumental music also works. I like to close my eyes but very frequently I doze off due to the exhaustion. Instead, I take the support of the window and rest my head on it. See the world tilted and then begin my journey of introspection. I ask myself the following questions:

What did go right and wrong on that particular day? How could I have avoided it? How could I have made myself a better human being?

And questions like that. I know it sounds very cliche. But believe me, it works. At least for me. In most of the cases, I find my mistakes. I understand how I could have done things differently, how I could have been more empathetic, how I will avoid these things in the future and things like that. Even if I find mistakes of someone else, I try to forgive them.

Those 20–30 minutes are like a powerup time for my mind as well as my body. When I plug in my earphones, I move to a completely different world. A world that has peace and tranquility. It helps me to focus more clearly on my thoughts. It is my type of meditation. Find your niche and try to use it to conquer your bad thoughts and be thankful for all the good things you have in your life. Or you can try mine once and see whether it benefits you or not! :)
